Amber Reed will cover practical tools for planned rotational grazing systems including mobile fencing gear (reels, posts, wires, grounding systems for fence energizers), and mobile water systems (pipelines, floats, water tanks and water wagons). We will discuss recordkeeping methods that will help with future planning to track for day to day operations as well as inclement weather (i.e floods, drought).
Nicko Rubin will lead a tour of his operation, East Hill Tree Farm, showcasing a number of different fruit, nut, etc. species from seed (or scion) to harvest. We will discuss how to plant trees, shrubs, and vines for success, establishment long term care, and protection of trees.
