Corn Price Update
Upper Midwest (Des Moines, IA)
7.1.09
Organic grain and feedstuff prices were steady on light demand and offerings with nearly inactive market trade, compared to two weeks ago. Producers are busy in the field and waiting to see what direction prices will go. Soybean plantings continue to lag in some areas. Most field reports are that crops look good. There are inquires on hay for first cutting.
All prices FOB price per bushel except where stated (trucking cost needs to be added)

Eastern Cornbelt (Springfield, IL)
6/13/09
Compared to two weeks ago, organic grain and feedstuff prices were steady. Demand was light to moderate for moderate offerings. Trading activity was very light. Market uncertainties and heavy old crop supplies of corn and soybeans have created a market which is difficult to predict. Feed grade corn is traded steady and feed grade soybeans were steady to firm.
All prices FOB price per bushel except where stated (trucking cost needs to be added)
